The IDS SAW
Multi-Caliber Light Machine Gun

The IDS SAW is a belt-fed, multi-caliber machine gun for infantry and vehicle use. The IDS SAW can fire 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO, and other calibers from the same receiver; changing calibers is no harder than field stripping in one caliber and reassembling in another. Typical configurations weigh under 16 pounds (7.2 kg) unloaded with an overall length of 34" (76 cm). A forward tri- or quad-rail system, optic-friendly AR-compatible stock, and improved bipod make the IDS SAW one of the most user-friendly belt-fed machine guns available. The IDS SAW can use Minimi/M249-family parts, and IDS SAW parts can be used in Minimi and M249 platforms.
